Welcome to Rondo Avenue Inc. The Proud Producers of the Rondo Day’s Festival.

Remember Rondo: "Come On Home...Its A Family Reunion"
“Imagine a community where a “riot of warm colors, feelings and sounds with sight would make one from the rural portions of the South feel at home, or a person from Harlem or State Street, feel at ease.” Then, call it Rondo. That’s how Roy Wilkens, who grew up in St. Paul and later rose to prominence as head of the NAACP described his beloved neighborhood in 1927. And, while the name of the community has changed, the sites, sounds and temperament of the community remain essentially the same.
Some of the most influential African Americans in the world have called Rondo Home at one time or another. During its heyday, Rondo Avenue was more than a city thoroughfare; it was a street that gave its people their identity, their pride and their independent social and economic base. And that little street, with its hodgepodge of immigrants with some pretty big dreams, left a legacy which we all enjoy today, and a history that challenges each of us to rededicate ourselves to its future success.
Whether your ties to the community go back to the turn of the century, or your family moved to the neighborhood long after Rondo was erased from the physical landscape in the name of “progress,” we all are Rondo. Remembering it is our privilege, our duty and our decided honor
